When will the next Spirit IPod Touch Software be released?

I cannot jailbreak this Ipod Touch 32gb 3G MC 4.0.
Is there a way to downgrade it?
If not when will the new Spirit software be released?

From what i keep hearing you can’t downgrade once your on 4.0. But the good news is that the new spirit jailbreak is supposed to be coming out this weekend. Comex (creator of spirit) posted on twitter a few days ago he hopes to release it by sunday and will do it before then if it’s done. but he also said it might not be done.
